Concepts 2021.9.8 for Windows - Hello Windows 11
We've made updates for Windows 11 and support tactile feedback for the haptic stylus Surface Slim Pen 2 right out of the box with Concepts 2021.9.8 for Windows.
Microsoft has just launched Windows 11 and two devices that notably upgrade your sketching experience - the Surface Pro 8 and the Surface Laptop Studio, each with 120 Hz display abilities that make drawing beautiful. They also released a brand new haptic stylus, the Surface Slim Pen 2, that enhances drawing with a friction-like feedback.
We've made updates with Concepts 2021.9.8 just for Windows 11 and support tactile feedback from the Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus right out of the box. We hope you enjoy!
- Concepts' UI is updated to reflect the new Windows 11 UI, including corner rounding, updates to the Title Bar, light and dark mode adjustments - the details that make it nice.
- When you pair your Surface Slim Pen 2, you'll find you can make adjustments to the haptic feedback in two places. Enable or disable the stylus' haptic settings in Concepts' Settings > Stylus menu, then head over to your device settings to adjust the overall haptic intensity to be more obvious or subtle.
- Enjoy haptic feedback for all of Concepts' basic tools - Pencil, Pen, Marker, Airbrush, Fill, Dotted and Wire, and Hard and Soft Masks (if you'd like feedback for custom brushes, please let us know.) You'll also notice feedback when you interact with the menus.
We found the Surface Slim Pen 2's narrower tip, updated button placement, and tilt and pressure settings to be quite solid. We hope your drawing experience with the stylus and Windows 11 updates will help your creative workflow to be more enjoyable and productive.
Our next release will add Perspective Grids to the Precision toolset. Keep an eye on our roadmap here! If you have a moment, please leave us a five star review in the Microsoft Store, it genuinely helps us to succeed. Thank you for your support!
Cheers,
The Concepts Team
